WHERE DID CHIROPRACTIC ORIGINATE?

The understanding that the spine is somehow involved in health and wellness dates back to the time of the ancient Greek philosophers. In fact, Hippocrates once said, "Get knowledge of the spine, for this is the requisite for many disease." Chiropractic actually began in the late 1800s when its founder, Daniel David Palmer, performed an adjustment to the spine of a deaf janitor and claimed to restore his hearing. Palmer later founded the Palmer School of Chiropractic, where he taught his methods to the first Chiropractors. His basic idea was to restore a sense of balance to the body and help it heal naturally. Knowing the history behind chiropractic shows how the spine affects the nervous system in a big way. At Clements Chiropractic, our goal is to improve your body's spinal motion and physical function. We want you to feel better, function better, and live better!
